This Band is great, I remember the first time I heard them I instantly liked them, everything about Dirty Honey is great I especially like the guitar playing being a guitarist myself, it’s like classic rock is being revived and not just by Dirty Honey, bands like Joyous Wolf, The band Feel and Rival Sons are bringing back the genre.
Here is one of my favourite Dirty Honey songs.
Based in Los Angeles Dirty Honey are bringing back the 70s, formed in 2017 Dirty Honey consists of Marc LaBelle (vocals) John Notto (guitar) Justin Smolian (Bass) and Corey Coverstone (drums), having no major record label and being an independent band has not held them back, they quickly caught the attention of the rock community through relentless touring and music that provided a hard hitting groove with an infectious sound.
Their debut self-titled EP, released in 2019 set the stage for their rise to fame, with the single ‘ When I’m Gone’ becoming the first song in history made by an unsigned band to top the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
As you can hear they are heavily influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and GnR, although they are heavily influenced by these bands, they also bring a fresh approach to this style of music, with gritty guitar riffs and powerful vocals, the hard-hitting rhythms bring their style together creating a time machine with a fresh edge.
n 2021, Dirty Honey released their highly anticipated debut full length album, self-named ‘Dirty Honey’ this album solidified their place in rock culture, and they were being referred to as rock revivalists, tracks such as ‘California Dreaming’ and ‘The Wire’ were fan favourites, the band also gained a reputation for electric live performances, if you haven’t seen Dirty Honey at the Viper room I strongly suggest checking it out, it’s one of the best live performances I have seen.
Dirty Honeys success has shown Rock and Roll is far from dead, they were the opening act for Black Crowes and GnR at major festivals, like Lollapalooza, this has given them a loyal fanbase.
Dirty Honey has shown the world that Rock acts can still generate big audiences, their road ahead looks bright if they stay on the road they are on right now, in a world where musical trends are constantly shifting, Dirty Honey are keeping the soul of Rock and Roll alive.
Regards.

Yeah, these guys are some of the leaders that bands like mine (Bessemer Saints) want to open for; bc anywhere else we're just awkwardly trying to "fit in" on show bills with metal, Southern Rock, indie rock, and we never quite can.
Problem is, a bunch of these leaders (Dirty Honey, Rival Sons, et al.) are in the LiveNation/AEG venue systems; which the rest of us are all locked out of, bc those systems do not want 'locals' on their bills.
Kinda frustrating, truth be told.
Dirty Honey has an excellent sound of hard rock but with a distinctive frontman. You can hear the story behind his lyrics. I wasn't aware they were from the same area as I am. The guitar playing is very instrumental to this band's future success.
