Greatest band ever; and the main model I use when (attempting to) write for my band Bessemer Saints.

Small correction, tho': "Fire And Water" was Free's third album, not their first; their first was called "Tons Of Sobs". BS covers the song "Walk In My Shadow" from it.

If you love Free I'll gaurentee you like Cry Of Love ,,I'll recomend some of my favourites of theirs, Highway Jones, To cold in the winter, Peace pipe, Georgia Pine, Pretty as you pleawse, enjoy!

I'd be interested to see if you do like them so get back to me on that

Um I think a long time ago, and their from the US I should do an article on them they are a great band the guitarist is a beast!!!

You were utterly correct that I would very much like Cry of Love. I heard out both albums, and through the magic of YT, watched videos of 2-3 of their shows from 1993-4, and 1997.

I get what you're saying about them; Audley Freed was/is crazy-good, + Kelly Holland did have more than a touch of Paul in his singing. I see them in more of the vein of Bad Co. and (positive) very early Foreigner, tho'. Most of that was in how things were mixed from about 1977-78 on;

I just couldn't hear Robert Kearns' bass like I could always hear Andy's in Free.

Call it a bias on my part, but that's a big reason why Andy and Free are so close to my heart.
